About the Blog

Hey you. Yeah, you there.

I see you; living your normal life while dreaming of something more. You can’t quite define the “more” but you know it’s out there. You’re content with how things are but can’t help but think of how things could be.

You dream big dreams and wonder if they could ever become reality. You have many different interests and can’t decide which one(s) to put your time and energy into. You have a few different talents, at varying levels of “good,” but aren’t at all sure what to do with any of them. You long for the freedom of being your own boss but struggle with finding the time, energy, motivation, confidence and know-how to leave the 8-5 life.

Your picture of “abundant life” isn’t aligning with the ordinary life you seem to be living now. You want to make an impact; to do something, to be something. You want to matter. But you question whether you and your ordinary life matter at all.

Me too.

Here’s the thing, though. I’m convinced that we all have something remarkable within us already.  Sure, we’re not all gonna be rock stars, all-stars or superstars. We’re not all gonna walk the red carpet, dine with presidents, head up multi-national companies or compete in the Olympics.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t be pretty darn awesome in our own way and our own lives.

We were created with a divine purpose. That, in and of itself, is incredible. Taking note of that and the ways in which it peeks through our ordinary, daily lives can help us to discover, accept and live our divine purpose(s) out more fully. Taking steps to align where we spend our time, energy and focus with that purpose is where we’ll begin to experience the abundant life we can’t seem to find yet.

That’s the focus of this blog. Finding noteworthy moments in ordinary life and then seeing where those moments might lead. For me, it’s lead me out of 8-5 and into something…different. For you, though, maybe those moments lead to a new hobby or a behavior change. Maybe they lead to a new travel destination or book to read. Or, maybe they’ll even lead you to a new career.

Wherever the moments lead, though, the best thing is that you (and I) recognize that we already matter and our so-called ordinary lives might just have a bit of extraordinary abundance already in them.

Won’t you join me?
